Enjoy MLB playoffs and a heartfelt sendoff at Kings

We want to pay tribute to the impending retirement of the illustrious Red Sox designated hitter David "Big Papi" Ortiz.

Give Big Papi the legendary send-off he deserves at Kings!

It's no secret that Kings is a premiere destination to watch your sports in luxury, comfort and high definition - heck, you might even run into your favorite players on the lanes! The gourmet food, refreshing drinks, great games and high quality customer service has made us a hotspot for years for sports stars and fans alike.

'Our teams' - and yours!

For us, our love of sportsmanship and games runs even deeper. At Kings, we do everything we can to celebrate the start of all the major seasons, from food and drink specials to special events, the entire time keeping "our teams" near and dear to our hearts. That's why we're starting to lose our stuff as MLB kicks into high gear in the post season.

Not one but TWO of our favorite teams have made it into the division series and are on their way to the World Series: For the National League, we have the Chicago Cubs - barreling in from the home of Kings Lincoln Park. And of course, how could we not mention the Boston Red Sox making the American League playoffs? Experts are saying that The Cubs and the Sox are the boys to beat! What better place to see MLB players at their best than at Kings?

Tribute to a hometown hero

Kings Bowl first opened its doors in 2002 in the heart of Boston's Back Bay, and while we since expanded nationwide, we never forget our roots and our hometown. That's why we want to pay tribute to the impending retirement of the illustrious Red Sox designated hitter David "Big Papi" Ortiz. Whether he's knocking it past the Green Monster ("Kehd, you're not sayin' it right: It's 'monstahhhhhh,' guy."), jogging perfunctorily around the plates or pointing skyward after hitting a run, Big Papi has made it to legendary status with his whopping 541 career home runs - landing him in the top 20 of the MLB's all-time home run hitter's list.

Ortiz will be retiring following the 2016 season and his uniform number - 34 - will be retired as well. We have been honored to play host to Big Papi and his Sox teammates several times over the years. We can verify - the man is as heavy a hitter on the bowling lanes as he is behind the plate!

Kings is where sports fans watch the games in unparalleled HDTV clarity and surround sound and can rub elbows with their favorite players and create unforgettable memories - all in an environment devoted to the highest quality food and fun. We're more than a neighborhood hangout to watch the games, we're your one stop for everything entertainment!
